Jody Herman

Jody Herman is a Registered Dietitian specialized in Eating Disorders as well as dancers/athletes, food allergies and gastrointestinal disorders and diseases. She also has significant experience working with substance abuse/chemical dependency and other mental health disorders. Her primary focus is working with eating disorders and mental health disorders, providing individual and group counseling. Jody sees clients through her practice, JLH Nutrition Therapy and currently serves as Clinical Manager at Bamboo Nutrition therapy. She works closely with the dance community in the Greater Los Angeles area, providing nutrition counseling to dancer and teachers and offering speaking engagements.  

Formerly a Professional Dancer, Jody was drawn to the dietetics field so that she could gain insight on how to fuel for training, performance, and day to day life as a dancer. Continuing her journey, she graduated with her Masters of Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia and completed a Distance Dietetic Internship through Priority Nutrition Care in Southern California.  She immediately jumped into eating disorders and mental health after completing school. She has worked with treatment centers in the Greater Los Angeles area including Breathe Life Healing Centers and La Ventana.
