My interest and passion in working with disordered eating stems from my interesting in Women’s Issues.  Unfortunately, many, many women have disordered eating and full blown eating disorders.  Many of us have learned to dislike our bodies and find fault in our looks. This self criticism and self doubt contribute to a host of other issues.  As a woman, a sister, a mother of daughters, and a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist I am passionate about helping women love their bodies, love themselves and take care of themselves.  I am also trained in EMDR and trauma treatment.
I received my B.A. Degree from California State University, Northridge in Psychology, and my M.A. Degree from Azusa Pacific University in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.  I have been licensed for over 30 years.
In therapy it is always my goal to establish a deep understanding and rapport with my clients so that together we can create a treatment plan that is unique and catered to the individual’s needs.  I don’t believe that one size fits all.
I am a member of the California Association of Marriage, Family and Child Therapists.
I am certified in the Psychoanalytic Treatment of Eating Disorders, NLP and Trauma Treatment, and have extensive training and experience in hypnotherapy.  I am also trained in EMDR.
