I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Woodland Hills. I have been treating eating disorders using CBT, DBT, and psychodynamically for 7 years. I am now in the process of training in Family Based Treatment (Maudsley) through Standford University. I am also furthering my learning at LAISPS at the Eating Disorders Program.

In my work with adolescents and young adults, I have seen disordered eating dissolve lives, families, and relationships. This has inspired me to add this important specialization to my family and relationship work. I offer out patient individual, family, and group psychotherapy for eating disorders. When possible, I use family therapy to expand my work. Additionally, I run groups and individual coaching for anger management and assertiveness training — this well complements my work with eating disorders since assertive communication is an area of weakness for many afflicted with eating disorders. I enjoy working with women and men of all ages who struggle with disordered eating.

I am a wife, mother, and mental health specialist. I believe these roles combine to provide me with a unique perspective in my work with the individuals and families I treat. Prior to this I had a career as a financial analyst — I can certainly relate to the combined pressure many individuals face to succeed while maintaining a certain “look”.

Through psychoeducation and awareness, the prognosis for eating disorders has greatly improved. I find that attitudes regarding healthy eating and body image have moderately changed for the better. However, there is still much to be done and I am honored to be a part of that work.

I am a professional member of California Association of MFTs, American Association of MFTs, Valley Federation of Eating Disorders, National Anger Management Association, California Association of Anger Management Professionals, International Association off Trauma Professionals, and Los Angeles County Psychological Association. In my spare time I enjoy time with family and friends, yoga, winter sports, classical music, theatre, reading, and writing.

I am constantly growing my knowledge to be the best possible healer and teacher for my clients. I feel humbly blessed and fortunate to be able to do this very important work.
